Football Field Construction
Football field construction is an undertaking that requires a lot of planning and design. Storm water management and drainage are at the core of the planning process. Once the field and storm water management system has been designed, amenities need to be accounted for. Football games are typically well-attended sporting events, so everything should be considered to accommodate these large groups of spectators. Parking lots, field accessibility, seating, lighting (for night games) and a concession stand can all have a huge impact on the experience for the spectator. If a bleacher system is installed a nice addition would be a press box construction. The press box allows for easy game calling by announcers and for the teams to record videos of the games.
Football goal posts have evolved over the years. One of the newest features for goal posts are models that rotate. These rotating models are very beneficial if the field is to be used for multiple sports, especially soccer. When the soccer goals are in place, the football goal posts can rotate 180 degrees, thereby not affecting the play of a soccer match at all.
Often schools will install stadium lighting around the football field to accommodate night games. These light poles come in varying heights and different configurations of light fixtures. Having the flexibility of lighting is extremely beneficial in scheduling and getting the most use out of the field.
